Will the Irish save again our civilization?

We are anxiously waiting news from Eire. If the referendum hold yesterday says No to the Treaty of Lisbon, we could say the Irish saved again our civilization. The first time, told by Thomas Cahill, the Irish saved the Romanity. This time they would save not only Europe's liberty, but the Werstern heritage of selfgovernment for each people and territory, unalienable right of every human community. The best possible world for human life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, will be mantained for another little while in human history.
